The Beach House in Hermosa Beach Hotel Review

Well, given the fact that I’ve stayed at the Beach House in Hermosa Beach twice now, I figured I might as well do a review. The first time I stayed at the beach house was December 21, 2012. If that date sounds familiar to you, you’re right, it was the end of the Mayan calendar and maybe THE END OF THE WORLD.  🙂  Hey, if the world was going to end, I couldn’t think of any better way to go out than being in my favorite little beach town, Hermosa Beach.

Obviously the world didn’t end, which is pretty awesome if you ask me. Because now, I get to write a review about the Beach House in Hermosa Beach.  What makes the Beach House so awesome in my opinion are three things.. it’s right on the beach and the world famous Strand, it’s steps away from great restaurants and bars, and it’s well kept unlike some other hotels in the area.

When you visit the Beach House, you feel like you’re in your home away from home, not a hotel room. I mean, even the water pressure in the shower is outstanding. Some may not find that a plus, but a shower that just trickles out water is not an enjoyable experience.

Another way the Beach House in Hermosa Beach feels like a home away from home is the continental breakfast they serve in the morning. You can either eat inside or outside. I prefer outside. I mean, what’s the point of staying right on the beach if you’re not enjoying it every way possible.

Another great place to have breakfast in Hermosa Beach is Martha’s 22nd Street Grill, which is just a short walk north of the Beach House in Hermosa Beach. The food is fantastic, the service is attentive, and of course being 1/2 a block from the sand means the view is incredible. Sometimes you’ll have to put your name on a list, but the wait is definitely worth it.  Do you want to go where the locals go? Well, this is definitely that spot.
